De Halm Noordeinde

Commissioned by HSB Bouw, Interduct implemented a collective ventilation system with a Filterbox for the De Halm Noordeinde project in Wormerveer. The challenge for this project was to eliminate the smell of chocolate in the homes. Interduct was involved in the entire process; from manufacturing the parts to delivery.

Project De Halm Noordeinde

A residential building with 59 low-rise houses and 29 flats was built on the site where the "De Halm" seed warehouse used to stand. This led to an overwhelming number of inquiries, but also some additional air quality requirements. Because there is a chocolate factory on the opposite side of the canal. This produces not only delicious chocolate, but also a constant smell of chocolate. That is why HSB Bouw sought a reliable partner for the construction and installation of a central ventilation system. They chose Bemar because we deliver tailor-made solutions, and we were able to relieve them of the entire process.

Barring the chocolate smell at the front door

Both the low-rise houses and flats are equipped with durable and quiet heat extraction units. Each unit is connected to the central outdoor air intake ducts, which are fitted with a Filterbox. In this Filterbox, the extracted air is firstly stripped of odours and fine dust, after which the heat exchanger distributes the filtered air through the various ducts to the homes. Both the residents and the client are delighted by the result.

The power of collaboration

"The best things are made together," they say at HSB Bouw. Project De Halm Noordeinde is living proof. In close consultation with the above party, Bemar designed a system that perfectly fitted the situation. An important role was also played here by Robé; they took care of the production and supply of the necessary ducts and accessories, and designed the Filterbox, which we purchased from Tops Luchtfilters. The entire system, including the heat recovery units supplied by BUVA, was installed by Bemar. Together, we created a sustainable, healthy and comfortable indoor climate in 59 low-rise houses and 29 apartments in Wormerveer.
