Nieuwleusen project
An assignment with an unusual history: project Nieuwleusen. A few years back, VentKlima had already been given the green light to install ventilation in the office building and also carried out work there. But because the previous owner never moved into the property, the project was put on hold for quite a while. With a new owner - Aluvo Geveltechniek - work restarted in 2024. It was not necessary to start all over again, although the office part of the premises was reorganised slightly and the original design modified. Plus: a piece of the building that was not previously part of the office block was converted into a company canteen. This too requires ventilation, of course.

Working with ductwork that is already in place
In consultation with the client, VentKlima adapted the previously fitted ductwork to the new situation. "A large part of the ductwork was already there," says project manager Jordy Francken, "We started out from there." The air treatment unit (Ned Air - EveryLine 2000) had also already been installed on the roof. From the roof, the first section of the rectangular ductwork runs through the newly created canteen. From there, fresh air was distributed. Via circular ducts (250 diameter), it went to all the rooms on the ground floor and the other two floors.
The existing air treatment unit turned out not to have sufficient capacity to properly ventilate the new canteen as well. Therefore, VentKlima installed an additional ventilation unit with heat recovery (Orcon WTU-1500-EC-IE) in that space. This ensures a good indoor climate throughout the building.

The power of collaboration
Morrenhof-Jansen was responsible for the total package of installation work and VentKlima, as an air technology specialist, was involved in the installation of ventilation. Taking full responsibility for the work was paramount in this; from design to delivery. There was considerable urgency. While Robé provided the rectangular ductwork and VentTrade supplied the round ductwork, VentKlima's fitters took care of installing the system. A number of parts and products came from external suppliers, including the heat-exchanger unit (Orcon). Together, we created a sustainable, healthy and comfortable indoor climate for the employees of Aluvo Geveltechniek in Nieuwleusen.
