Interduct starts up new powder coating line
New powder coating line
While the final products were rolled out of the gas and diesel oven in Haelen last week, subsidiary company Robé was putting the finishing touches to the new powder coating line in Ittervoort. From now on, around 40 to 50 (bespoke) products will have their desired RAL colour added here every day. Together with the necessary increase in capacity, this development means Interduct has taken a big step forwards on sustainability. "The two powder coating ovens in particular are a big improvement," says Justin Paulissen, director of Robé. "This will especially save us a lot of gas; as much as 11,700 m3 per year (2022)." The new spray booth is also an upgrade. Powder is now better drawn off and captured in the filters.
Production and coating process
At Interduct, coating a product is not a stand-alone activity, but an integral part of the overall production process. Every year, hundreds of (bespoke) products are manufactured at Ittervoort, including specials. Thanks to a number of investments and acquisitions, Interduct is now one of the few ventilation specialists in the Netherlands to have the entire production process in-house. With the launch of the new powder coating line, Interduct has brought everything under one roof. To serve customers even better, the business group has decided to merge its manufacturing companies - Interduct Products, Bemar production and Robé. From 1 January, they will jointly move forward under the name Robé.
