Project Binnenplezier
A children's dream has come true, and it's on an industrial estate in Kampen. Here, in 2022, the owner of Binnenplezier opened the doors of a 1,500m2 indoor play paradise for all children, including wheelchair users. To ensure that disabled children can also play to their hearts' content, accessibility was explicitly included in the design from the start of construction on the site. And the health and well-being of every child is the top priority at all times. That is why the client had an additional requirement: to create an ideal indoor climate. To make that happen, building services company Fien went in search of an innovative and expert ventilation partner to take care of the installation from A to Z. VentKlima proved to be the right choice.

Carefree play
Meanwhile, the indoor playground in Kampen is all about fun. Fun for the children and also for their (grand)parents, who can also enjoy carefree fun here. This is partly thanks to the high-quality ventilation system that can ventilate and cool as well as heat. While air is supplied from and extracted to the air treatment unit using exposed ducts, it is the flexible air distribution hoses (airsocks) that ensure the clean air that is then heated or cooled is distributed evenly throughout the entire space. So visitors are always assured of a steady temperature and stable humidity. Control of the system is fully automatic through sensors in the wall. If the air quality varies, the air treatment unit receives a "tip off" through the membrane valve and the air intake and extraction are adjusted. In short: the ventilation system meets all requirements in terms of ventilation.

The power of collaboration
Good air quality is always important, but the more so in places where children will congregate. Therefore, we pooled our efforts and always worked closely together, aiming to achieve the best possible results. First of all, VentKlima drew up a preliminary design in consultation with the client which, once approved, they used to prepare a final design and implementation design for our subcontractor VS Montage. We then ordered in the necessary materials and parts. While Robé was engaged in manufacturing and supplying rectangular ductwork, VentTrade provided pipes and fittings. We purchased the other products externally; the air treatment units came from NedAir, the textile air distribution hoses came from Prihoda and the grilles were supplied by Waterloo. In turn, VentKlima was responsible for the complete installation. So together we realised a sustainable, healthy and comfortable indoor climate in a 1,500m2 indoor playground in Kampen.
